The state of thing...

I used to research all sorts of cults and other religions and so forth. I knew a lot about all that. I've forgotten quite a bit, but still remember quite a bit too.

However, despite all that, I've had some quite saddening reminders lately. I've been researching some things for the pastor and one of them was the five fold ministry. He wanted me to read some papers about it so that I was familiar with what he was reading, and also know my thoughts about it all.

Now growing up the way I did, and learning what I learned, and researching what I researched, I knew a lot about spiritual abuse and everything. However, my main focus and thoughts were on how there are so many sleeping Christians in the church. Those who go to church simply because of the tradition of going. They didn't fight against the devil, or seek God in their daily lives, or have that true relationship with the Lord Jesus. Those rebellious Christians, whom God has called me to wake up basically.

However, reading up on some things reminded me of the opposite spectrum. There are so many who indeed are seeking God, but are being led astray by those who abuse spiritual positions. I believe God also revealed the very truth that this very fact is why so many people in the groups that I deal with and minister to, hate Christianity and any form of organized religion! They are going off the facts of those who have abused their spiritual position to do anything but what God wants!

This is something I need to remember, as I deal with the people I deal with, and minister to them. They need to realize and learn that those who abuse in such ways, are NOT what true Christianity is about.

Just starting out

Well I've been writing this with pen and paper for a while now and figured I'd put it out online. I'm not sure where this will go, or what will happen, but it might as well get started!

This is just an introductory post, to test how things will look. So this is not included in the whole thing. Just a test!
